Original pop surrealism portrait painting from Sleven. The idea for this painting hit Sleven whilst he was scrolling for portrait reference images on Pinterest, of retro 60s, 70s, 80s photography. He came across this particular black n white photo of a woman with sunglasses frames that were in the shape of lips, and she was licking on a lollipop. The first thing that popped into his head was the song “cherry bomb” by The Runaways. Soon after he envisioned the lips turning red and cartoony, with tongues dropping out, reaching for the tasty, tasty cherry bomb that was about to explode on her sun kissed lips! A classic addition to any retro fashionistas palace or pop surrealism connoisseurs collection.
