the five elements
A visual cypher to the sound, soul and elements of hip-hop culture. This is where beats, bars, burners, shell-toes and B-boy stances collide on canvas and screen. From dusty boom bap nostalgia to sprayed-up crack allys, every piece is a head-nod to the elements that raised Sleven and his fellow hip-hop heads. Digital or physical, it's all soaked in riddim, rebellion, rude boy steel and that unmistakable “do it yourself” attitude. This section’s not just about hip-hop….it is hip-hop! Just with more paint and less broken ankles.

Whether an MC signing his name on the chest of a groupie, a producer scrawling the track title on a sleeve of a dubplate, a DJ writing down genre names on organising cards for his record shelf, a b-boy colouring in the scuffs on his shelltoes or graff writer marking his territory for that little piece of fame.
